Canada 150 celebrations have only just begun in Canada! There are so many things happening in all corners of the country, and this can certainly be said for the regions in and surrounding our nation’s capital! Plan on visiting Ottawa or its surrounding area, yet you don’t have a clue what to do or see while you are here? Be in the know about anything that is happening in Canada’s capital with the dynamic duo of Ottawa Tourism and Tourisme Outaouais! Both regions will be shared at this year’s BConnected Conference in Toronto during their Keynote Session!
Ottawa Tourism works with professionals, such as bloggers, social media influencers and more traditional media in the field of tourism. They assist these professionals in a variety of ways, from story ideas to arranging interviews; from hosted media visits to itinerary planning; from fact checking to providing images, video, visitors to the city, and to enhance economic impact for the tourism industry and its membership.
When your region is located right next to the nation’s capital it might seem difficult to make the area stand out, but Ottawa Tourism does just that with a strong and active social media presence and engaging online community. The blogs of local writers and contributors effectively highlight some of the region’s attractions, events, and locations without duplicating content that is found on the website.
Tourisme Outaouais also makes a point of celebrating family every year in July, with surprises, promotions, and activities all month long! Each July, during Family Month, they offer families visiting the area a bag filled with goodies for the kids including a book for the kids and a guide for the parents that sum up all the info regarding what there is to see and do as a family. They provide families with all the tools they need to make the most out of their visit to the Outaouais region.
We are ecstatic to have Ottawa Tourism and Tourisme Outaouais , not only as sponsors of the 2017 BConnected Conference, but they will be coming together as a dynamic duo as our Keynote Speaksers during our Saturday lunch session! Caroline Baron-Coursey of Tourisme Outaouais and Caroline Couture-Gillgrass of Ottawa Tourism will be sharing with our attendees the countless reasons to visit Canada’s capital and the Outaouais region! From Canada’s Parliament buildings, national museums, to bustling neighbourhoods, and vast green spaces… And year-long celebrations in honour of Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation there is so much to see and do. Ottawa and the Outaouais region is the place to be in 2017! We cannot wait for our attendees to connect with them.
